Resumen

The purpose of the project was to design and create a website for Linguistics and Languages Department at the University Of Nariño, which has two academic programs Degree in English - French and Degree in Spanish -English. The general information, researches, web publications and services provided by the Department which commissioned the work are presented in the web page. Furthermore, the portal web has useful tools as noticeboard, links to important pages and office automation to optimize office procedures of the Department. The website was created by using HTML code and PHP, PhotoShop 6.0,Flash MX and a FTP data transmission program was also used during the process. The dynamic website created for the Linguistics and Languages Department is clear, consistent and user-friendly. Using concept and some applications of Computer Mediated Communication –CMC, the Webpage is designed to reflect the educational environments with easy access to the system through user and administrator friendly interface.
